Overview

inCituAR for Data Exchange (“inCituDX”) creates a direct, automated connection between Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and inCituAR, eliminating the manual exports and file conversions previously required to get BIM models into mobile AR.

Using an Autodesk Data Exchange URL, teams can generate a georeferenced, AR-ready inCitu project in minutes.

Compatible with: Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have:

• An active inCituAR account (sign up here)
• Access to Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360 with a model that has a Data Exchange set up
• A Data Exchange URL for the model you want to bring into AR (see below for how to get this)

Step 1: Get your Data Exchange URL from ACC

1. Open your project in Autodesk Construction Cloud
2. Navigate to the model or design file you want to visualize in AR
3. Open the Data Exchange for that file
4. Copy the Data Exchange URL from your browser’s address bar. You’ll paste this into inCituAR in the next step
