<aside> 📌 Before sharing your project with the world, we encourage you to test and optimize your project’s location on-site for iOS & Android. The reason is, GPS and VPS accuracy can vary based on address and coordinates give or take ~5m. We developed an on-site AR Edit tool to allow you optimize the positioning directly from your mobile device for the best audience experience.

Note: You can only user AR Edit on models that you or someone in your organization published.

AR Edit best practices

Models need to be positioned by Android and iOS separately to account for device-specific GPS readings. Visit the project site with an Android and iOS device and use AR Edit tool to position the model on each device.

iOS AR Edit tool

1. Download the inCitu iOS app
2. Login with your inCituAR account credentials
3. Navigate to “Profile” in the bottom-right corner of the app
4. Scroll down to enable “AR Edit Mode”
5. Open your project from the desired on-site viewpoint and adjust the longitude, latitude, altitude, scale, and rotation to your liking.
6. Press “Save” to save changes.
7. Close AR, and re-open project. New model position, rotation and scale will now be reflected.
8. Use AR Edit as many times are you would like.
